Our Team

We explore Australia, check the details and find experiences worth sharing.
We believe recommending a place means knowing more about it than what appears in a brochure. We’re the team behind AustraliaTours, exploring destinations firsthand, visiting the attractions we write about and personally checking the tour operators we feature.
Australia is a big country, and choosing where to go isn’t always straightforward. We do the groundwork, compare what’s available and share what we’ve learned so travellers can make the most of their time here.

We Explore Before We Recommend

We like to get to know a place for ourselves before writing about it. Photographs and online descriptions help, but they can’t tell you everything. When we visit a destination, we pay attention to what matters on the ground. Is it easy to reach? How much time should you allow? What facilities are available, and how do seasonal conditions affect a visit? We also think about who will enjoy it most. A remote walking track might suit experienced hikers but be less suitable for a family travelling with young children. These observations shape our guides, giving readers a clearer idea of what to expect before they set off.

How We Select Tour Operators

We’re particular about the operators we feature. Our team personally checks every tour operator listed on AustraliaTours, and popularity alone isn’t enough to earn a recommendation.
We look closely at itineraries, inclusions, safety practices, organisation and value for money. We also consider how a tour actually works for different travellers. Some people want to cover plenty of ground in a day; others would rather spend more time in fewer places.
The cheapest tour isn’t necessarily good value, and the most expensive isn’t automatically the best. What matters is finding an experience that suits the person booking it.

Discovering More of Australia

Our interests take us from Queensland’s tropical coastline and Tasmania’s wilderness to the outback, regional towns and national parks. We cover the famous attractions, of course, but we’re equally interested in places that don’t always make the standard itinerary. It could be a coastal walking track, a local wildlife experience or a country town worth more than a quick stop for fuel and coffee. We look at what makes each destination distinctive, including the small details you can easily miss when you’re just passing through.

Making Travel Planning Easier

We’ve spent enough time comparing itineraries and researching destinations to know how quickly holiday planning can become complicated.
AustraliaTours brings our destination guides, operator assessments and practical advice together in one place. We explain the differences between tours, highlight key details to consider, and help readers choose experiences that suit their interests, budget, and time.
We don’t think there’s one perfect way to see Australia. Some travellers want the big-ticket attractions; others prefer quiet places and a slower pace. Both deserve good advice.
Our job is to know the places, ask the questions and check the options. What you choose to do with your time in Australia is entirely up to you.
