Yarra Valley Half Day Winery Tour – Morning is a relaxed small group wine experience from Melbourne that lets you enjoy the best of Victoria’s wine country at your own pace.
The Yarra Valley morning wine tour is the perfect introductory experience to one of Victoria’s most famous wine regions. Starting in Melbourne, you’ll journey through vineyards, scenic countryside and soak up the laid-back atmosphere that makes the Yarra Valley a wine lover’s paradise.
We kick things off with a barista-made coffee at the Melbourne Arts Centre, then set off on a scenic drive through the suburbs and into the valley. Along the way, you’ll hear local stories and insights into the region’s wine history and food culture.
You’ll visit three of the Yarra Valley’s top wineries – Helen & Joey Estate, Payten & Jones and Soumah Estate – where you’ll enjoy wine tastings featuring some of the region’s best cool-climate wines.
With a small group setting and a focus on comfort and relaxation, this tour is ideal for anyone looking for a laid-back yet indulgent morning in the Yarra Valley.
A Great Start to the Day
We’ll meet at the Melbourne Arts Centre, where you can enjoy a complimentary barista-made coffee before heading off to the Yarra Valley. It’s the perfect way to start your morning and get into the mood for a wine tasting experience.
Helen & Joey Estate
First up is Helen & Joey Estate, a winery known for its panoramic valley views and bold, expressive wines. You’ll find standout Pinot Noir and cool-climate Chardonnay here. Take time to explore the grounds, snap a photo with the iconic unicorn sculpture, and enjoy the vineyard scenery.
Payten & Jones
Next, we visit Payten & Jones, a boutique winery focused on natural and minimal-intervention wines. The cellar door atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, giving you the chance to enjoy authentic wine experiences. If timing allows, we may also include a stop at the Four Pillars Gin Distillery for a gin tasting.
Soumah
Our final stop is Soumah Estate, where elegance and refinement define the wines. Sample premium cool-climate varietals including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Nebbiolo, while relaxing in a beautiful vineyard setting.
Home Time
After a morning of wine tastings and great company, we’ll return to Melbourne in comfort. You’ll be dropped off at the Melbourne Arts Centre, with optional hotel drop-off available in the CBD or Southbank.
