7:45 am – Pick-Up from Your Alice Springs Place

Your day gets underway with a pick-up from your accommodation in Alice Springs and then we head south along the Old South Road. You’ll get to take in the breathtaking rugged desert scenery, hear some stories about the history of the Finke River and learn about the old telegraph line that used to connect isolated communities right across the Red Centre.

Exploring Ewaninga Aboriginal Rock Carvings

We take a step back in time at the Ewaninga Aboriginal Rock Carvings where ancient petroglyphs carved into the stone are a window into the rich cultural heritage of the Arrernte people. You’ll get to learn all about the significance of these fascinating rock carvings and the traditions that have endured in Australia’s First Nations communities for thousands of years.

Morning Tea at Ooraminna Station Homestead

Next up we head to the Ooraminna Station Homestead, a working cattle station nestled in the midst of Central Australia’s stunning landscapes. We’ll stop in for morning tea at the Wild Horse Bar and soak up the tranquil atmosphere and genuine outback charm of this special place.
