The Adelaide: Kangaroo Island 2 Day 1 Night Wildlife Adventure, our take on the ultimate getaway experience, where you get to experience all the best bits of this amazing place: its famous landmarks, unforgettable wildlife encounters, delicious local food, and the chance to camp under the stars in comfort.
Your adventure kicks off in Adelaide, then we’ll head south to Cape Jervis. Before we even set foot on the ferry, keep an eye out for dolphins in the water.
Our first stop on the island is Pennington Bay, take in the turquoise waters crashing against those dramatic cliffs. Then we’ll head inland to Prospect Hill for the most fantastic views over farmland, bushland and ocean.
After that, we’re off to Duck Lagoon for a leisurely walk beneath the trees and a bit of wildlife spotting. We’ll keep an eye out for koalas and native birds in their natural habitat.
You’ve got some free time to wander around Kingscote before we head to Kangaroo Island Brewery for some lunch and a tasting experience. You won’t go hungry!
Next up, we’re off to the Kangaroo Island Beehive to find out what all the fuss is about with the island’s famous Ligurian honey.
In the afternoon, we’ll find a nice spot to relax at Stokes Bay, which is a real hidden gem, a beach that’s only accessible through a rocky tunnel opening into a calm lagoon.
We’ll stop in Parndana for a bit, then set up camp for the night. As the sun goes down, we’ll fire up the BBQ for a classic Aussie dinner, and you can spend the evening just chilling in peaceful surroundings.

Wake up to some fresh island air and a hearty breakfast, then we’re off to Flinders Chase National Park. We’ll get in early to beat the crowds.
We’ll spend some time checking out the Remarkable Rocks; they’re just incredible, and the best part is they’ve been shaped by wind and sea over thousands of years.
Next up, we’re off to Admirals Arch, where the rugged coastline just gets blown away by the surf. And if you keep your eyes peeled, you might just spot some New Zealand fur seals basking on the rocks.
After a nice picnic lunch, we’ll head to Little Sahara, where you can try your hand at sandboarding (if you dare) or just take a leisurely stroll through the dunes.
Last but not least, we’ll take a ranger-guided beach walk at Seal Bay to check out some Australian sea lions in their natural habitat.
We’ll have some free time in Penneshaw to grab some last-minute souvenirs before we catch the ferry back to Cape Jervis and head back to Adelaide.
Keep in mind that we might make a few changes to the itinerary if the weather conditions aren’t playing ball or if there’s some other operational issue. But we promise you’ll still have an amazing experience.

We see a lot of wildlife on this tour, especially at Duck Lagoon, Seal Bay and Flinders Chase National Park. But nature’s unpredictable, so there are no guarantees.
Yep, the shared bathroom facilities take care of that for the bell tent crew. And if you’re in a motel room, you’ll have a private ensuite.
