Boarding & Welcome

Get to Port Adelaide a little early, and then come on board and meet your skipper – they’re really knowledgeable and passionate about sharing the history and stories of this area with you.

Cruise Along the Port River

Just sit back, relax and let your skipper do the driving – while you take in the sights and sounds of the Port River. Along the way, you’ll learn all about the region’s maritime history, see some of the famous ships, and hear about some of the key landmarks that line the river.

Explore the Ships Graveyard

We all love a good graveyard, but this one is literally on water – and it’s the infamous Ship’s Graveyard – where you can see giant shipwrecks half-submerged in the water. And the best part is that your skipper will share some amazing stories about the history behind these ships.

Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary

You can’t guarantee that you’ll see dolphins, but if you do, you’ll be one of the lucky ones – as this is one of the few places in the world where you can see wild dolphins right on the edge of town.

Just a note: dolphins are wild animals, so we can’t promise you’ll see them, but we’ll do our best to give you the best chance of spotting these amazing creatures.

International Bird Sanctuary

Last but not least, we head to the internationally important bird sanctuary – where you can see some of the migratory shorebirds and amazing Australian species that call this place home. Depending on the time of year, you might spot some of the more threatened species, as well as some of the everyday birds that live here all year round.

Back to Port Adelaide

And before you know it, it’s back to shore after a lovely 90 minutes on the water. You’ll have learned so much about the maritime history of the area, and the unique river ecosystem that makes this place so special.
