Get out of the city on our 2-Day Great Ocean Road and Grampians Tour. You’ll travel to and from Melbourne on a perfectly paced overnight adventure. This short escape takes you to two of Victoria’s most iconic landscapes in one seamless journey: the wild Southern Ocean coastline and the rugged peaks and walking trails of the Grampians.
You’ll follow the winding curves of the famed Great Ocean Road before heading inland to explore the natural wonders of Grampians National Park, including waterfalls, lookouts, and native wildlife. It’s where dramatic coastal scenery meets mountain landscapes, creating a journey that’s both memorable and inspiring.
Our 2-Day Great Ocean Road and Grampians Tour takes you to some of Victoria’s most famous coastal sites and some of its oldest alpine scenery. You may spend the night at Halls Gap, which is deep in the Grampians. This will give you more time to experience the landscape, animals, and local legends that make this area so special.
Start your trip down the coast on the Great Ocean Road. Stop for morning tea at the Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie on the Surf Coast. In the Great Otway National Park, you’ll see huge eucalypt forests and some of the tallest trees in the world as we travel on.
In the afternoon, you may learn about the stories of the Shipwreck Coast, go down to the quiet beaches of Loch Ard Gorge, and see the beautiful 12 Apostles from a few different coastal lookouts. Wildlife sightings are common throughout the day.
We get to the Grampians area after nightfall and settle into our accommodations for a relaxing night.
We get up early to go to Boroka Lookout and Reeds Lookout, as well as The Balconies, each providing stunning vistas of the Grampians’ rugged peaks. There is significant Aboriginal cultural significance in this area, and many animals, including emus and kangaroos, are present.
Take a scenic bushwalk and see the stunning MacKenzie Falls, one of the largest and most spectacular waterfalls in the state.
We depart for Melbourne in the afternoon and arrive around 5:30 pm after two fun days of seeing the coast and mountains.
At 7:35 am, we will leave from outside the Immigration Museum, at the junction of 400 Flinders St and Market St in Melbourne.
