Start your 3 Day Adelaide to Melbourne Tour and experience one of Australia’s most diverse overland trips, where each day on the road is shaped by dramatic coastlines, wildlife encounters, and friendly communities. This trip takes you along the famous coastal path via the Limestone Coast and along the Great Ocean Road. The scenery changes all the time, from broad plains to spectacular sea cliffs. You’ll see famous sights, try local foods, and visit lesser-known national parks that many travellers skip when they hurry between cities. It’s a small vacation spot for people who want to see large vistas without having to organise much.
*The pricing for fares is the same for adults and children. People ages 6 to 17 must stay in a shared private room and travel with a parent or legal guardian. Children under 5 years old should not go on this tour. Only people 18 or older can book a Basic Dorm or Single Room.
The beautiful Grampians National Park is between Adelaide and Melbourne. It has rocky mountain ranges, steep peaks, and seasonal waterfalls. This three-day journey includes a place to stay in the middle of the Grampians, where kangaroos and cockatoos often come to visit. From there, you’ll head south to the historic Shipwreck Coast to see the 12 Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and other amazing coastal formations. Then you’ll head east along the Great Ocean Road toward Melbourne, where you’ll arrive in the early evening.
Private upgrade rooms are only available when you book.
Your trip to the Grampians National Park starts with a scenic drive through the Adelaide Hills. From there, you go past Bordertown and into Victoria. The itinerary includes a short stop at Pink Lake Dimboola when conditions allow. As you approach the national park, you’ll see the mountain ranges rising from the western plains. The afternoon includes visits to Reeds Lookout and Boroka Lookout, both offering panoramic views. The night is spent in Halls Gap, in the heart of the Grampians.

We care a lot about protecting native plants and animals on our Adelaide Tours in Australia. We want to keep this World Heritage Listed area as undisturbed as possible and protect the animals that depend on it. We also ask travellers to be culturally conscious and always show respect for the Traditional Owners of the territories we visit.
A big part of what we do is teach tourists how to travel in ways that don’t harm the environment through low-impact travel and how to help keep animals safe while supporting the long-term health of the places they visit.

Australia Tours honours the Traditional Custodians of our land, with a special focus on the Wurundjeri people. We ask all guests to be aware of cultural differences and to appreciate the deep spiritual connection that First Nations communities have with the land.
To keep wild animals’ natural behaviours from changing, people should observe them without interfering. Guests shouldn’t move too quickly, make excessive noise, or try to touch, pat, or feed wildlife, especially birds. Human contact can spread disease, influence behaviour, and cause animals to become aggressive.
You can’t touch or feed wild animals unless you are a trained wildlife professional. Eating food that isn’t natural can harm digestion, cause illness, and modify behaviour in ways that put both animals and people at risk.
If you see wildlife that looks hurt, scared, or in danger, tell your Guide/Tour Leader, a National Park Ranger, or a Visitor Centre staff member right away.
Visitors must stay on designated paths, keep behind safety barriers, and follow their guide or tour leader at all times. Leaving marked trails can damage fragile ecosystems, disturb animal habitats, and destroy native vegetation. It can also expose guests to risks such as cliff edges, unstable terrain, loose rocks, and slippery surfaces.
You should not remove any natural materials from the environment, including wood, leaves, flowers, or organic matter, as each element plays a vital role in the local ecology.
All tour vehicles are equipped with onboard trash cans. Organic waste such as fruit peels, bread, and food scraps should never be left behind, as they are not native to the area and may attract pests, spread disease, or harm wildlife.
We ask that everyone joining our Grampians Tour bring a reusable water bottle. Purchasing bottled water and disposing of it adds significantly to plastic waste. You can stay hydrated while reducing your environmental footprint by refilling at our vehicle water replenishment stations.
All guides hold a current Level 2 First Aid certificate. If you become injured or unwell during the tour, please inform your guide immediately. Travellers with pre-existing medical conditions should carry necessary medications and notify their guide at the beginning of the tour.
If you smoke, please use only designated smoking areas and remain away from other guests. Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles or accommodation, including permanent campgrounds. While we provide regular comfort stops, specific smoking breaks cannot be guaranteed. Please dispose of cigarette butts safely and responsibly.
You have to be at least 6 years old to go on this trip. Because the event is energetic and takes place outside, it is not suitable for babies or kids under 5. People ages 6 to 17 must stay in private room accommodation and be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian, or responsible adult.
You need to be in good physical condition. Daily walks can range from 3 km to 5 km and sometimes include uneven ground, steep hills, rocky terrain, and full sun exposure. Your guide will always assess the weather and the group’s ability to ensure everyone’s safety, but it’s best if you are well prepared. People over 70 must provide a doctor’s note at least 30 days before departure.
